Each time a tradesperson expresses interest in your job post. We will send you the tradesperson’s details and ratings via email. However, you can also view a tradesperson’s ratings by following the steps below:

2. Click on the job post, here you will be able to see which tradespeople have expressed interest in quoting. You will also be able to see their average star rating along with how many ratings they have received
You can view and read all of the tradesperson's ratings on their profile by clicking ‘View profile’.
A job budget helps both findmytradesman.es and tradespeople establish the approximate size the job. It also helps set expectations so that the right tradespeople contact you to quote.
please note we always advise you to get the tradesperson to view the actual job firstly this way the job quote will me more precise , and also try to get 3 separate quotes for each job you post

Certificates and accreditations
Gas Safe – By law, all tradespeople must be Gas Safe registered to carry out gas work. Registered tradespeople carry a personal ID card, so check their licence number and expiry date. When tradespeople join us, a Gas Safe certification is one of the things we check. Only Gas Safe registered tradespeople are able to purchase these types of job.
Part P – Most electrical work in your property requires a tradesperson to have a Part P qualification. Ask to see proof of your tradesperson’s Part P credentials. If you need to, you can also contact your local building authority to check if someone is certified. Part P certificate isn’t a requirement but it’s definitely something to look out for if you want someone who sets themselves apart from the rest.
Reputation
Ratings – You’ll find the tradesperson’s ratings on their profile page, which we email you once a tradesperson wants to quote for your job. Check their ratings to find out what experiences other homeowners have had. Tradespeople are rated on quality, reliability and value, meaning you can make a more informed decision on who to hire. Read more about how our ratings work.
Previous work – Everyone makes decisions slightly differently but using previous work is a useful way of judging if someone is right for your job. For larger jobs, we recommend you ask to view the tradesperson’s portfolio, speak to previous customers and if possible, visit previous jobs.
The contract
The quote – Be clear on the difference between an estimate and a quote. An estimate is a rough price and is not binding. It’s a useful starting point. However, before work starts, ask for a quotation for the work as discussed or agreed. The quote should include a detailed job specification, price, conditions of work and a payment schedule.
IVA – It’s a good idea to check if the quote you receive includes IVA. If it doesn’t include IVA, you’ll be paying 21% on top. Any good tradesperson will make this clear, but it’s something to keep in mind.
Deposit – A deposit should always be documented with a detailed invoice. As a guide, a deposit should be less than 20% of the overall job price but enough to cover the tradesperson’s tools, materials and travel costs.
Payment schedule – A quote should outline the payment schedule the tradesperson can expect during the job. This helps to avoid any misunderstanding later on. Each stage of the payment schedule should be documented with an invoice, and should only cover work that has clearly been completed. Never pay the full cost of the job up front.
Subcontractors – Not all tradespeople who do the quote carry out the work themselves. They may work alongside other subcontractors, or hire subcontractors to complete the entire job. While this is perfectly normal, it’s good to clarify this up front.
Guarantees – A tradesperson will guarantee their workmanship for a period of time. Make sure you have clarified what this period is and that you have the relevant paperwork if you need to make a claim at a later stage.
After a job has been completed, we ask all homeowners to rate their tradesperson with 1 to 5 stars (5 being best) based on their quality of work, reliability, and value for money. Each tradesperson is then given an overall 1-to-5-star rating based on the average of all their ratings on findmytradesman.es.

Whilst we do conduct ongoing monitoring on active accounts, we cannot be held liable for any actions of said account holders. Homeowners posting jobs are not obligated to accept quotes from our Tradespeople and we always recommend conducting your own checks as per our Homeowner checklist, alongside ensuring mutual understanding of work scope and charges is emphasised in any agreements made.
findmytradesman.es highlights non-liability as part of our user agreement, except for cases of death or personal injury caused by our own negligence. We regularly review negative ratings and reviews, removing tradespeople who fall below our standards in order to minimise the risk that consumers may hire tradespeople who have performed work that other homeowners have legitimately been unhappy with.

If you’re a professional tradesperson, then becoming an approved Findmytradesman.es member will be easy . It’s worth knowing that once you join us, we’ll be checking in regularly on your reviews. If you’re about to request to join us, then here’s what you will need to keep handy. What you need for your Findmytradesman.es checks Here are the things we’ll check and what you need:

What Is , And who needs Public liability insurance
Trade people Can Not Bid on Jobs If they Do Not Have Current Public Liability Insurance. (TPSU 1) Public liability insurance is a type of business insurance that protects companies against compensation and damage claims from accidents and injuries which happen in relation to business operations. It covers the insurance cost of the incident claimed by the affected party—like the general public, or other third-parties such as customers, suppliers, or subcontractors. This type of policy covers the claim expense of incidents that happened within business premises and claims of damage to someone else’s property involving a business and its activities. The general goal of public liability insurance is to protect businesses from losing too much money because of public claims and avoid costly litigation processes that may significantly affect companies and how they operate.

1. Fill in as Much Information on the database as Possible. When the Trade Person quotes for a job, they will quote for the worst-case scenario. Be careful to put the Correct information in as false or wrong information can result in extra costs. 2. Receive Unlimited Quotes from Interested Trade People. When Choosing a Trade Person think about what the Trade Person is offering. You will have to consider things like; a. Price – Will cheaper be less quality? b. Distance – Will Trades People who live further away take more time to return if there was a problem? 3. Choose Your Trade Person and pay for the Job to be done. Findmytradesman.es will hold Your money with no charges. You can use PayPal and most major credit cards. 4. Have Your Job Done to the Standard you have requested. The Information you have given when posting the job will be used in any disputes, and the Trade Person will have to complete the job at your stated standard to get paid. 5. The Trade Person is paid if the job is completed to your Standard. Any problems must be raised within 2 weeks of the job completion.
